TAI join forces with KAI

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and Kazakhstan Aviation Industry (KAI) signed a cooperation deal during the International Exhibition Weapons Systems and Military Equipment (KADEX-2018) on 24 May .
TAI and KAI to co-operate on the joint development and procurement of the Turkish company’s Anka unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and Hurkus advanced training aircraft.
“This will contribute to the development of defence industrial co-operation between the two countries.”
“While strengthening its global market presence with the industrial collaboration in the field of aviation and defence industry, TAI has taken an important step towards meeting the requirements of the Turkic republics [Central Asian nations] as well as the countries in the region on medium-altitude, long-endurance [MALE] UAV systems as well as on new generation advanced trainer aircraft and light combat/armed reconnaissance aircraft,” TAI said in a statement published on 24 May.
