Cummins Inc receives $491 million contract from U.S. Army

Cummins Power Generation Inc. has won a $491 million contract to provide advanced medium mobile power sources to the U.S. Army.
The Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources represent the third generation of Department of Defense military standard generators. AMMPS are replacing second generation Tactical Quiet Generators, which have a 25 year old design, and providing significant operational improvements that greatly decrease the logistics footprint on the battlefield. The current family of AMMPS consists of five versions: the 5 kW, 10kW, 15kW, 30kW, 60kW generators.
Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Aug. 28, 2022.
