Norwegian frigate Helge Ingstad collides with oil tanker

The Norwegian navy Fridtjof Nansen-class frigate HNoMS Helge Ingstad collided with Malta-flagged tanker Sola TS and the tug at 4:26 local time on November 8 in Hjeltefjorden, north of Sotra.
Helge Ingstad started taking on water after colliding with the two other vessels but was later declared out of danger of sinking. Its entire crew of 137 have been evacuated.
Eight people have reportedly suffered minor injuries and have been given medical treatment.
The KNM Helge Ingstad had recently taken part in NATO’s Trident Juncture military exercise, which centred on defence of Norway.
