AKSUNGUR UAV makes its first flight

ANKA-AKSUNGUR Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), designed by Turkish Aerospace Industry, made its first flight on March 20.

Using the PD170 engines developed by TAI Engine Industry (TEI), the UAV has flown for 4 hours and 20 minutes. The UAV which uses automatic landing and take-off, has been successfully completed the test flight.

ANKA-AKSUNGUR, a twin-engine with high load capacity at medium altitude, is expected to perform long-term missions up to 40,000 ft.

The UAV will be able to carry up to 750kg of useful load.
