ATAC receives last Mirage F1 aircraft

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) has received 63 Mirage F1 aircraft from France.

“This logistics achievement is the culmination of months of hard work from multi-disciplined professionals on both sides of the Atlantic. Our Mirage F1 inventory represents the single largest common fleet of privately-owned ADAIR aircraft in the world and we look forward to their years of upcoming service and support to our U.S. military customers,” announced the company.

ATAC is one of several companies offering contracted air services to governments as they look to maintain training levels and standards while reducing stress and demands on their own aircraft fleets. This contractor-owned contractor-operated (COCO) model is becoming increasingly popular as operators look to reduce the wear and tear on their capital assets; to alleviate their pilot shortfalls; and to keep their operational aircraft on the frontline.
