Spice 2000 reinforcement to India from Israel

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has signed a $43.2 million contract to buy 100 more SPICE-2000 bombs with the Israeli defense firm Rafael.
SPICE bomb, which stands for Smart, Precise Impact, Cost-Effective, has a stand-off range of 60 km. It comes equipped with a family of weapons used for air-to-ground operations. India has been using SPICE-2000 bombs since 2015 on French-developed fighter jets, Mirage-2000.
According to a goverment official, “A contract for procuring over 100 SPICE bombs with Mark 84 warheads was signed with Israel under emergency provisions as per which the deliveries would be done in three months time”.
