
Spanish Army awards COHEMO to maintain the Leopard 2E
The Spanish Army has assigned the maintenance of the LEOPARDO 2E turrets to COHEMO.
COHEMO, located in the Community of Madrid, is to maintain the Leopard 2E (Leopard 2 A6E) army tank tower until 2021. Within this agreement is included the revision and repair of the stabilization system, the shooting direction, the stabilization system and the electronic equipment among others.
This contract was assigned by the Army’s Logistic Support Command (MALE), which received several offers including companies such as Indra and COHEMO. After an in-depth evaluation of the tenders and following different assessment criteria, the company was able to win the contract.
The valuation of this contract amounts to 6 million, which includes three annual payments of one million euros and a possible extension for another three years. With this, the Army ensures the operability of all its systems.
In addition to the aforementioned contract, the Madrid-based company has a wide range of agreements in force with the Spanish Army, including the supply of spare parts for the Centaur and thermal cameras for various armoured vehicles.
